The Centre for the Analysis of Genome Evolution and Function (CAGEF) was created in 2005 to act as a bridge between the 2 new departments of Cell & Systems Biology and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. It provides both resources (Affymetrix expression profiling system, Solexa Genome Analyzer, BD FACSAria fluorescence-activated cell sorter, Biacore system, Applied Biosystems 3730 DNA Analyzer, chemical libraries etc.) and trained personnel to perform analyses using these resources. It also offers training courses and awards to students. For more information see www.cagef.utoronto.ca.
